Avoid working in Recruitment for MedPharma !
Few weeks ago I have seen this interesting ad promoted on Facebook. It was about this MedPharma group, auto-entitled "#1 Medical Recruitment Group in Europe", saying they are hiring Recruitment (HR) managers for their current campaigns, on a Freelance basis. As I read in their announcement, this implied no base pay, and instead only commission for recruited nurses and medical staff. I said, why not? I have worked on such basis before although on entirely different campaigns and locally. So I thought I could give them a try. I proceeded with sending them my CV (resume), as well as some information on why I would like to apply for this position (mainly because I was looking for a second income source). Their reply didn't take long to arrive.
I was happy when I got to read the email from a guy named Gregorz, which called himself founder of MedPharma group. He told me that he reviewed my CV and that I am welcome in his Recruiters group. Next step would have been to join a presentation of his company and the position, which I have attended via a Zoom session. It was a group session with more people, in which he talked like a robot for 2 hours about what the company and position entitled. I said Okay, let's go with it. I signed the contract which he gave me on email as well as the hourly schedule requested. He told me that he would come back with his signature on it, yet that never happened, he kept delaying me everyday, saying "Okay, tomorrow I will", "Sorry, I was sick, in 2 days you will have it" and such excuses. In the meantime he made me attend another CRM presentation on Zoom as well as a Q&A session on the same platform. I attended them, and today I asked him again about the contract and whether he signed it or not. His reply was short and thundering "Sorry, but I don't think you are the right fit for this position". I was shocked, like Heck, you kept telling me to attend more and more presentations of your company and position, telling me that I am a good fit for your company, and now I am not a good fit anymore? He said "Well, some things change overnight".
I truly believe this guy Gregorz is not serious and he is looking for people willing to work for free for them. Therefore, I recommend you to avoid him as well as his company titled Med Pharma Group. And before I close this posting, I want to tell you about few more messages that I exchanged with him. I told him that I know some guys from Philippines who would like to work as nurses in Germany, and whether he can pay me commission for them or not. He said "Sorry, but immigration law does not allow us to recruit from Philippines". I told him that I know people from Philippines who work in Romania, Spain and US. He stopped replying 1 day after. You can draw the conclusions for yourself.

Should you work on Scribie.com ? Most probably not!
The Scribie.com website has recently caught my eye as I was looking for an extra part-time revenue source. Being a copywriter with over 6 years of experience, I thought it will be very easy for me and it will allow me to work comfortably from home. It wasn't at all like this, and I want to tell you why.
When you first create an account on Scribie.com they will tell you that you can make between 10 and 25usd per hour but that is as fake as it can be. In fact, you have to transcribe 6-minute audio files for them and they will only pay you (attention!), 1usd per each. Such transcription will take you around 25-30minutes if you can type fast, and 1 hour if you type slow. So, in all honesty, you will only earn 1 to 3usd per hour. This will only be enough to buy a coffee or a hotdog, so it's up to you whether it's worth your time or not.
Another thing that you should take into consideration is that they manually approve each account once it's created. This means that they can reject you straight away for whatever reason (e.g.: you are not in their preferred location, you don't have experience in writing/transcribing, your English is not good enough, etc). And even if they approve your account, you still have to prove your worth through a test. You have to transcribe a 6-minute audio file!
I want to tell you that this test is extremely hard, and the ones who review your transcriptions will most likely be unfair with you (at least in my case, they were). You will struggle with the accents and background noise in the registrations, but that is the smallest issue that you have. Let me tell you about my experience and how my test was corrected.
"How long do you guys go into the fall?
It runs through 8 months.
A bit more cold in there."
This is what I typed based on the audio which I listened to for 2 times. And they cut entirely. Now, here's what they replaced it with:
"You are very short into the season. How long do you guys go into the fall?
It runs through November, so 8 months.
It will get a little more cold in there before the end of the time."
So it basically says the same thing, only that they added some words which in all honesty don't seem to appear in the recording. I want to remind you that I've listened to the recording entirely for 2 times before submitting it. They also seem to have some weird auto-editor which tells you that there are mistakes in your text yet fails to point any of them.
My advice for you is to stay away from this site called Scribie.com. You will be able to get better paying and more interesting projects on sites like UpWork and Freelancer, and they don't request you to do test transcriptions and drafts before being approved. Keep in mind that even if you are approved on Scribie, 1 - 3usd per hour is a laughable amount in most countries, so you will probably be better off just getting a part time job in your area.
PS: I want to tell you that UpWork and Freelancer also have their impurities and you can't rely on them 100%, but I will talk about that in another article. Bookmark and keep an eye on my blog to read it.

3 Smelly Feet Hacks That You Must Try
Many people deal with foot odor nowadays, which is especially pungent during the summer season when outdoor temperatures rise. Smelly feet have their origins in bacteria that thrive in hot and humid environments, such as a shoe that offers little room for breathing or a thick pair of socks. Fortunately, there are some things that you can do minimize and even completely eliminate the “smelly feet effect”. In this article we present you our top 3 smelly feet hacks that can be applied by anyone:
1. Ensuring a good overall hygiene
Basic foot hygiene is ignored by some people nowadays as they are very busy with their jobs and social life. However, it’s important to take care of our feet constantly, and particularly in the summer season. Experts recommend washing your feet daily, drying them with a towel, and using apple vinegar-dipped cotton to dab between the toes. If your feet are still smelly and you don’t have dry skin or eczemas, try purchasing a special antibacterial soap or shower gel.
2. Change your socks frequently
In order to achieve quality foot hygiene, you should change your pair of socks at least once daily. People with pungent smelly feet may have to change up to 3 pairs of socks per day. It’s also recommended to resort to thin socks made of natural fiber, such as cotton or Lenpur.
3. Rotating the shoes that you wear
It’s recommended to avoid wearing the same shoes everyday for multiple reasons. Firstly, their median support lessens and you risk your Achiles and Longus tendons if you wear them daily for over 8 months. Secondly, the enclosed design of the shoes promotes bacterial development, so your feet will get smelly more often. We recommend you to have at least 3 pairs of shoes to rotate on a weekly basis. In addition, we recommend you to try custom insoles which support your feet and prevent bacterial development.
