3 Reasons Why You Should Stay Away From MyChef Italy

I recently had a bad experience with MyChef Italy and I want to share it with you. I hope it will help you take a wise decision.

The first time I stumbled across MyChef Italy was in the Milan airport, in November 2019. While waiting for my departure to Bucharest, I got hungry, so I decided to grab something to eat. The bad thing is that I was left with 2 choices in the waiting area before the screening; I either had to buy snacks from the robot machine or buy something healthy from MyChef IT. I decided to try my luck and go for MyChef. Here are 3 reasons why you should avoid them:

1. They are slow. Very slow.
There were 3 people waiting in front of me to be served. They were ready to pay and they didn't want to make huge orders. I calculated the times, and on average it took the guys at MyChef behind the desk 5 minutes for each customer. This is an insane amount of time, especially in a crowded place like an airport lounge. If you tell such waiting time to a McDonald's manager, he would smash his head against a wall. 

2. They are not polite with the customers.
Once I finally got to make my order, I notice that the cashier didn't said "Good afternoon" at the beginning, nor "Thank you" at the end. These are common courtesy rules for everyone working with customers face to face. 

3. They are not serious about it.
Another bad decision that I took at the airport in Milan was to order a sandwich (worth 2.7 euros) from one of the robot machines labelled MyChef. I paid with my card, and surprise: the sandwich got stuck in the machine and failed to deliver.
As I don't like losing money (even small amounts), I asked for a reimbursement via email and via Facebook chat. They never replied to my email. They replied to my Facebook chat promising they will reimburse me after I gave them my bank account number. I gave them this number and they never gave me my money back.

Final words
MyChef IT is one of the worst companies I had to deal with lately. They are not serious about the business they are doing, and I expect that in couple years they will be just a bad memory to the world of customer service. Stay away from them.
